Hey there! I graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 2016, majoring in Biology with a focus on Human Health Science and minoring in Chemistry. My areas of study include Genetics, Anatomy/Physiology, Microbiology, Zoology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Evolution, General & Organic Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry. The ‘19-‘20 school year will be my third year teaching at Cimarron.

I aim for my students to leave my classes with a better understanding of scientific phenomena and applying the scientific method, as well as experience safely working in the lab with live and preserved specimens, chemical reactions, laws of physics, and data analysis. Given the mass of mis- and disinformation we’re constantly bombarded by today, all of my classes will spend time evaluating the truth/validity of scientific claims, finding reliable sources, logic and common fallacies, and other similar topics to help students identify “Fake News” or biased claims and apply critical analysis to information they encounter.

I also coach High School Quiz Bowl, so come see me if you’re interested! I can be reached via my school email or phone below, and will work to arrange in-person meetings if so needed.
