Cimarron Public School Library Media Center serves students in grades Pre-K through 12. I am happy to assist our students in selecting books, learning research skills and using computer skills for online databases. Our library media center is equipped with a computerized catalog, computers, printers, satellite television, and a Smart Board. I am also able to teach and assist students in using these valuable tools for their school work and projects. For research purposes, we have the capability to search interlibrary loan and borrow materials on most subjects.
In addition to our book and video collections, we receive daily newspapers, several college newspapers, a few magazines, and a small collection of professional materials. We have access to Oklahoma Department of Libraries' production of Oklahoma Digital Prairie which is an online service that is funded with federal and state funds. Federal funds are provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Sciences. The Oklahoma Digital Prairie can be accessed at school to help find books, magazine articles, web content, and other informational resources. The Oklahoma Archives, provided by The Daily Oklahoman and funded by Devon Energy, is also available online.
Mrs.Jewell is the assistant for our Library Media Center and she is also available to help students, faculty and parents.
